There was a lot going on in Houston's 8-6 win over Sam Houston on Tuesday night at the Cougars' Sanders Field at Schroeder Park. Houston left fielder Brandon Uhse smashed a ball 423 feet over the left-field wall to put his team ahead in the bottom of the eighth, but that just started the theatrics.
Uhse took six slow steps out of the batter's box as he admired his three-run blast, then flipped his bat before he started his home run trot. However, when he bent down for a low-five with first-base coach Tyler Bielamowicz, he face-planted as he rounded first. Uhse appeared to be favoring his right arm after the fall as he made his way around the bases.
